How does Binny work?
We make moving simple and cardboard-free. Choose how many bins you need, submit a request, and we deliver sanitized 102L plastic bins, snap-shut lids, labeling cards, and a Sharpie right to your door. You pack, move, and unpack, then we come haul the empty bins away.
 
What is included in our moving bin rental cost?
Our moving bin rental cost starts at $45.00 for the week (10-bin minimum). This covers delivery, pickup, lids, label cards, and your marker.
 
How long is the standard rental?
All rentals include a baseline period of 1 week (7 calendar days) starting on your delivery date.
 
What if I need more time to unpack?
Extensions are simple and discounted. You can keep your bins for additional weeks at $2.25 / bin per week (50% off the standard rate). Just let us know before your scheduled pickup date so we can extend your booking.
 
Delivery & Service Area
 
Where do you deliver?
Doorstep delivery and pickup are included across Yarmouth, Clare, and Pubnico.
 
Do I need to be home for delivery and pickup?
Not necessarily, provided you have a safe, sheltered ground-level drop spot (like a covered porch, open carport, or entryway) and clear access. Walks and driveways must be clear and unobstructed.
 
What are my responsibilities on pickup day?
Bins must be completely empty, wiped down, nested inside each other with lids stacked, and placed in an easily accessible ground-level spot for our driver.
 
The Bins & Packing
 
How big are the bins?
Our bins are heavy-duty 102-litre totes (approx. 27 gallons). They are substantially larger, deeper, and more durable than standard cardboard moving boxes, holding roughly 3.5 cubic feet of goods each.
 
Do I need packing tape?
No tape needed. The integrated lids snap closed securely and flat. Please do not apply packing tape, duct tape, or stickers to the plastic. We provide branded index cards for labeling rooms and contents, and you can use standard blue painter’s tape if you need extra temporary tags.
 
How high can I stack them?
Bins can safely be stacked up to 3 bins high when full. Make sure the lids are snapped flat and not bulging before stacking.
 
Are there items I cannot pack in the bins?
Yes. For safety and sanitation, never load bins with flammable liquids (gasoline, motor oil, wet paint), corrosive chemicals, open food or liquids, or items infested with pests (such as bedbugs or fleas).
 
Do you help move or transport my belongings?
No. Binny is strictly an equipment supplier, not a moving company. We deliver empty bins to your doorstep and collect them when you are finished. Packing, moving, loading, and transporting your items are entirely up to you.
 
Payments, Deposits & Cancellations
 
How do payments work?
Once your request is approved, we email an invoice via Square. You can pay securely online using any major credit card, Visa Debit, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. We also accept Interac e-Transfer and cash upon prior request. Invoices must be paid within 24 hours to secure your delivery slot.
 
Do you charge a security deposit or store my credit card?
No. We do not take a deposit or keep credit cards on file. If any extensions, cleaning charges, or replacement fees occur, we simply issue a supplemental invoice to your email via Square.
 
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel your booking for a 100% refund up to 48 hours before your scheduled delivery date. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before delivery are subject to a 25% fee to cover reserved inventory and route scheduling.
 
Care, Cleaning & Damage
 
Do I have to wash the bins before pickup?
Standard handling dust is completely normal. We just ask that bins are returned empty, dry, and wiped down free of spills, garbage, or heavy dirt. If bins require deep detailing due to pet hair, food grease, or tape residue, an excessive cleaning fee of $5.00 per affected bin applies (capped at $50.00 per order).
 
What happens if a bin or lid gets damaged or lost?
Our plastic totes are commercial-grade and hard to break under normal moving conditions. If one goes missing or is damaged beyond normal wear:

• Missing or broken lid: $10.00

• Missing or broken bin: $25.00
